Great Kauai Video
Here is a great Kauai video put to the music of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow as sung by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole.
Kauai is one of those magical places on earth that offers such a variety of things to do and see.
Diane’s favorite things about Kauai are the weather, the ocean, and the people. It is never to hot or cold and the ocean breeze’s are magnificent. The sound of the ocean and the blue water make for a perfect combination. And the people always go out of their way to help you and make you feel happy.
If you want to visit one of the best places on earth go to Kauai. Watch the Kauai video and see if you agree!

Golfing in Kauai can offer you challenges as well as some spectacular scenery and relaxation.
Kauai Golf
By Eric Morris
Kauai offers some of the best golf courses in Hawaii and maybe the world. These golf courses are among the most challenging courses in the world. Apart from several outstanding resort courses, simple golf courses are also available that attract golfers from around the world. Probably it is the inspiring ocean view or spectacular mountain backdrop of these golf courses that make them stand apart from the rest.
Most golfers are aware that Kauai is home to some of the finest golf courses in the world. Kauai boasts of three of the top five golf courses in the State of Hawaii with over 153 holes spread out among eight courses. Golfers can tee off from any of the four courses designed by none other than Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Two other courses are designed by the equally famous Jack Nicklaus.
Golf on Kauai immediately brings to mind three celebrated resorts: Poipu Bay, Kauai Lagoons, and Princeville. Waialua Municipal Golf Course is a par-72 layout that plays to 7,020 yards. Its front side begins with two holes bordering the ocean and is flat in most areas dotted with few water hazards. Waialua hosted the 1996 USGA Public Links Championship and possesses one of the most picturesque “par threes” in the nation.

Kiahuna Golf Club is located in the heart of always-sunny Poipu. It is framed with the remnants of an ancient Hawaiian village. Twenty-seven carefully preserved archaeological sites can be seen here. This par-70 golf course was built by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Kiahuna. It is richly decorated with colorful bougainvillea and tropical shrubs.
The famed Kauai Golf Challenge is a unique promotional attraction that allows visitors to experience one round each at the best golf resorts of the island. This tour includes the Kauai Lagoons, the Poipu Bay Golf course, and the Princeville Resort.

This is one of my favorite Hawaii websites if nothing else just for the music in the videos you can play.
Plus they have some pretty incredible homes for sale listed.
Living In Kauai is the ultimate “Kauai Real Estate Buyers Resource”, at least that is what is on their home page. I have no reason to doubt them as this is an excellent website for viewing real estate in Kauai.
The site is very easy to get around in, but do yourself a favor and play the videos on a spearate page. The music is so soothing you will wish you were already living in Kauai.
They have a featured listings section with homes under $1 Million and going up from there.
You can do a search for home or condos as well as land. Be prepared to see some homes going for several million dollars which would be a dream come true for some of us.
Steve Whitney, with O’Connor Realty has his contact information on the home page and on the contact me page. And you can request a free copy of The Living on Kauai Data Book.

Have you recently decided that you would like to vacation on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai? If you have, your first step should involve making all of your needed travel arrangements.
Once those arrangements are complete, you should examine popular attractions on the island.
As for why you should research Kauai attractions before your trip, there are a number of benefits to doing so. One of those benefits includes time.
Kauai is filled with a large number of attractions, as well as other great activities. Creating a small itinerary for your trip can help to make sure that you get to experience all that this Hawaiian Island has to offer.
One attraction that you will want to visit, when on a Kauai vacation, is that of the Waimea Canyon. The Waimea Canyon is also known as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” Here, you will find a number of lookout spots that are a sightseers dream come true. You can also take a Waimea Canyon bicycle tour for an exciting time.
Not far from the Waimea Canyon is the Kokee State Park. Although often considered to be a separate attraction and destination, many travel websites combine this state park with the Waimea Canyon. Hiking trails can allow you to explore the land, as well as take amazing pictures. The Kokee Museum can teach you the history and culture behind the area you are about to explore or just finished exploring.
The Napali Coast, located on the northern end of Hawaii, is a must visit for those looking for fun and adventure. Unfortunately, the Napali Coast is only accessible by the Kalalau Trail. This trial is eleven miles long and covers rough terrain. Due to the terrain, only those in good health are encouraged to take the hike. Also, due to its length, many tourists decide to stop and camp along the way, creating a two-day adventure.
Although the Napali Coast is a hiker’s dream come true, those who wish to avoid the long journey can still enjoy and see the beauty of the land either by boat or air. Helicopter tours of the coast and guided boat tours are also available.
Hawaii is known for its beautiful beaches, but Kauai, according to the Hawaii Official Tourism Site, has the only navigable rivers in Hawaii. The most popular is that of the Wailua River. Kayaking and canoeing are two popular ways to explore the river. If you are looking for a more relaxing approach to take, guided boat tours are available. The river is also home to the Fern Grotto.
Hawaii is known for their sometimes mysterious, but amazing legends. One is that of the Spouting Horn, located on the south end of Hawaii in Poipu.
Here, water spouts around 50 feet high! According to Hawaii’s Official Tourism Site, the ancient Hawaiians thought the coast was protected by a giant lizard. It was believed that the water spraying up from the lava tubes is his breath.
The Kilauea Light House, is another must visit attraction for Kauai vacationers. The lighthouse is situated atop rugged coastline. It is known as the best destination to take pictures, as you are able to get unique panoramic shots. It addition to the beautiful view of the ocean, you will also see a wide array of sea birds, as the area is also home to the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge.
As you can see, there are a number of great attractions for you to visit on your next Kauai vacation. In fact, did you know the above mentioned activities are just a few of the many that you will find? Other mentionables include the Captain Cook Monument in Waimea, the Huleia National Wildlife Refuge, and the Allerton Tropical Gardens and McBryde Gardens, both located near Poipu Beach.
As previously stated, in addition to sightseeing and visiting a few of the above mentioned Kauai attractions, there are also many more Hawaiian activities for you to enjoy. These activities include boating, hiking, camping, shopping, swimming, and surfing.
