King Kamehameha V gave a land of 60,000 acres to Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop in the early 1900s. This by far is the largest Molokai ranch that has been developed by Princess’ husband, Charles Bishop. He assigned Rudolph Meyer in the development of the plantation. When Meyer died, the land was sold to some Honolulu businessmen who turned the plantation into American Sugar Company.

Charles Cooke purchased the property in 1908 and made it into a cattle ranch. A small portion of the land was made into Kaloakoi Resort.

Molokai Ranch Headquarters can be found in the town of Maunaloa at the rear end of Highway 460.

West Molokai is has been mostly encompassed by the Molokai Ranch making it a haven of fresh milk and eggs and meat.

There are several activities that tourists can enjoy doing in Molokai Ranch. You can ride horses, hike, and camp, bike freely and compete on rodeos. You can also have fun in the beach nearby, you can swim or snorkel assisted by the pros.

There are beautiful and scenic spots from the Molokai ranch. Bring your camera so you can capture them.

Outdoor activities await tourists that can burn their calories.

If you want to access dirt roads you must bring a four-wheel drive.

Pastures are all around the area giving animals the food they need. It seems that the place is always full of greenery.

There are road signs to help you going your ways.

Molokai is a peaceful town that can give you adventures of a lifetime.
