A known writer of Molokai, Alan Brennert is born in the authentic Englewood at New Jersey. His father seems to pass to him their love of writing as he was one of the valor writers of his time writing about flying in Skyways and American Helicopter. He graduated from California State University at Long Beach with the Bachelor’s degree in English. He also has a degree in screen writing at University of California, Los Angeles.

Alan Brennert has written numerous books, screenplays and short stories that feature hard work, courage and humanity. He has received an award from Emmy in 1991 for his work in L.A. Law. He was two times nominee for Emmy Awards, one time nominee for Golden Globe Award and three times for Outstanding Teleplay of the Year from The Writers Guild of America. “L.A. Law” received The People’s Choice Award and “Ma Qui” the Nebula Award in 1992.

He has written and co-written for classic television shows where he has spent most of his time. What he writes are intimate and touches the human heart. He is one of the best writers of his time.

He has written a prestigious novel entitled Honolulu. The novel is about a girl named Jin from Korea who by fate came to Molokai. The novel describes the hope and joy, persistence and patience that she has undergone to change her life in the foreign yet beautiful Hawaii.

He has written this novel with in depth research about Molokai. Molokai that has served glorious history has been manifested in the characters in the story.
