In this short article we want to talk about Spam as it pertains to a popular food in Hawaii.

The Internet has added new words to our vocabulary and change the meaning of others.

For example when you think of spam today as an Internet marketer you would be sending unwanted email to people who did not give you permission to do so.

You are on my Aloha-Blog and the word blog is fairly new in vocabulary. It used to be known as a weblog which was a form of an online diary.

Did you know that the people in Hawaii over 6 million cans spam a year?

The Spam Song was nominated for a 2009 Grammy!

President Obama was seen eating spam and sushi while playing golf on vacation over Christmas.

McDonald’s and Burger King even serve Spam with eggs.

Spam is not as popular in the other 48 states as it is in Hawaii. In my case I cannot even remember eating Spam ever. However in Hawaii Spam is also referred to as steak and is held in high esteem!

Like anything else it comes down to how it’s prepared. Chances are if you vacation here in Hawaii you will probably eat Spam a least one time!
