Whales are creatures that we don’t normally see in our lives. But in Hawaii, the locals are getting used to them while new tourists are quite amazed and admiring their massive gentle bodies in awe.One of these places is whale watching in Oahu.

They have their personal niches in each islands of Hawaii and they seem to feel at home when they are here. Don’t forget to bring your camera when you visit the locations where they normally swarm to get a closer admiration and a memory to recall.

Each year from December to May, humpback whales from Alaska journey the 2,500 to 3,000 miles of deep seas towards the beautiful island of Hawaii to mate and give birth and nourish their young.

There are about 7,000 of them, each weighing about 40 tons. It is amazing that in their own way, they give some inspiration and happiness to the people who are watching them.

Whale watching in Oahu are made special by trips and commercialized locations where tourists can get a close look and clear shots of their public display of whale living.

There are good whale watching spots in Oahu namely Shark’s Cove, Ka’ena Point, Hanauma Bay, Halona Blowhole Lookout, Makapu’u Point Lighthouse, Lanikai, Turtle Bay Resort and the Makapu Point which is the Marine Corps Base in Hawaii.

You can reach them nearer by riding cruises and fishing boats or by just simply waiting for them to go near the islands on the months of January to March. Whale watching in Oahu the best place to be.
